About us:
The Fernseed is a locally-owned flower and plant shop in Tacoma, Washington. Shop owner Katherine Raz opened the first location (2703 N. Proctor St.) in April, 2019. Fernseed's second location (5243 South Tacoma Way) opened in September, 2020. The shop consolidated in 2024 to the single location on South Tacoma Way. Fernseed offers a variety of indoor house plants, handmade pottery, plant care tools and accessories for sale, and is a committed member of the Slow Flowers movement, sourcing 60-90% of our flowers locally from farms in Washington, Oregon, and California—some from backyard micro growers located within a few miles of the shop.
